Last Faerieworlds festival (Harvest 2011) we were encouraged by a dear friend who organizes Steampunk events to start working our way into the Steampunk world.

When the two of us went to the Tandy Leather Factory last weekend, I saw some little gear pieces and this idea popped into my head!

I know it's not as gear/cog/steampunk heavy but I rather enjoy the less cluttered look.

I had a lot of fun with the tarnished look, as well as hammering grommets into the mask. It's been a while!

Made from 8oz tooling leather, liquitex acrylic paint, grommets, ribbon, and liquitex gloss varnish.
