Materials: Watercolour pencils.Illustration for my Saiunkoku Monogatari fanfic Tonic With Plums ... Tonic with Plums[[BoyLove PG13]]
Summary : The serving of herbal tonics, especially when sweetened with preserved plums, is one sure way to show love! ^_^
Time-fit: After Silk Pants. In relation to Twin Irises, this fits in between Chapter 2 and Chapter 3.

Reishin's very beautiful hand edged the saucer of three sweetened plums closer to Koyu.

That earthenware pot is used in Traditional Chinese Medicine for brewing herbal concoctions.
Koyu insists that Shuei drinks the Man-Tonic to replenish his male energy! O_o
haha ... for Shuei, just looking at Koyu is tonic enough already ...
The cockerel ceramic bowl is a very traditional Chinese design.
I've always loved this design.
Also, the cock does kind of symbolize manhood, doesn't it?

A novella, actually, for an open-submission anthology (Dreamspinner Press). I went through all sorts of things that never happen when I write, haha --including hating the characters much before they actually managed to do anything interesting... or erotic.

Indeed I did.Β The anthology is called "Juciy Bits" --because the pieces are pretty much that juicy part of a romance novel you might secretly flip to over and over again.
So, there was a theme... it just wasn't very restrictive

Deadline was December, so when would you know the results?

I'm still waiting, actually. The editor implied I would hear back either way, so that's what keeps me checking my email most days! She still has to muddle through all of the submissions, though --and it's to be published this summer, so she has a little time.

Yup, watercolour pencils, but used "dry palette",
so it's not much different from watercolours.
