Description
Concepts for future Valerie. The one on the bottom is her working out, even after several years, and the one above (as it's labled) is Valerie at Graduation. She's always seemed to be the kind of person that goes for the "wind-blown" look when it comes to her hair. So, for graduation, I could see Star or even her father talking her into the whole "gel" and tight-pinned up-do, but that doesn't mean she'd like it.

The first picture looks great; it looks like she's thinking about something. The second picture, though...well, she doesn't look very happy...I like how the hair looks, though.

LOL! She isn't happy. She's not the kind of person that likes fake things, and graduation would just seem like a big bunch of crap all piled on top of everything else...well, I would think that's how she would see it, personally.

I could do a tutorial on how I draw hair if it would help you.
I love drawing hair, although curly/wavy hair usually takes a lot longer to draw than straight hair (hence the reason most people in everything from comics to computer graphics have straight hair).

it does, but i've found in my experiance that it's usually more fun then drawing straight hair. other then Danny, Val is the funnest DP character to draw (mostly becuase of her awesome hair)

I love drawing hair, although it can be a real pain sometimes. People don't realize that to draw fairly realistic hair, that it takes almost as much time as the face does, although a lot less concentration.
