Description
This killed my hand XD but it was totally worth it.Small version is blurry though... Might try to fix that a bit.

The consept of a mechanical spider with sewing thread came from my commissioner, but my design was strongly inspired by the spider from James and the Giant Peach, who kept a reel of thread in her abdomen, and the needle legs just felt right

What a fun concept with a beautiful rendering! : D The way you've shaded and lighted this makes it looks like the whole spider is silky and smooth. I notice that you've left the brown parts of the small legs unshaded, though. After all that detailing, it's not all that weird that you've forgotten a small part, though.

how big would it be? Im scared a bit... i mean if it walks over me the needles would sting =3 . Na taking a look at ur gallerie at the mom. good work here

Not sure how big she is actually, I imagine her to be about the size of an orb weaver spider really, so not that big.
