Description I think I might be the only person on the face of the Earth who has drawn Lolita fanart lmao.

For those who don't know, Lolita is a Stanley Kubrick film made in the 60's about an Englishman who falls for a fourteen year old girl. The movie was alright, but I mostly enjoyed Peter Sellers as Clare Quilty lol.

I'm taking a Kubrick auteur class, and we're gonna be watching nine of his thirteen movies. And for some odd reason, I've been drawing fanart of the movies we've seen so far. Not quite done with the Paths of Glory one, but it that should be up soon

Anyway, it's simple and plain, but I felt the need to draw Quilty. AND THERE ARE STARS BECAUSE I CAN

p.s. that's an actual quote

I'm re-reading it right now and I found something I didn't realize before. Quilty lived right next to them, that blew my mind I mean I thought it was odd that it all started at Camp Q but I never thought they lived just down the road. That's crazy! God I love that book.

A good quote. So different from Quilty in the book, but this scene was very good.

Quoted from the best scene in the movie.
Lolita is one of my all time favorite movies, as well as books. Kubrick is amazing, he manages to put a different spin on Lolita, still capturing the dark comedy aspect of the book.

The funny thing is, Kubrick's version of Quilty and the Quilty in Nabokov's books are two entirely separate entities. In the book he's much darker, and by no means the comedic relief.

Peter Sellers did a Godly performance. It's no wonder Kubrick has used him throughout his films.

Great job.

Ahh I love when he said that.. Peter Sellers was the best part of that movie, although I love it either way.
Anyway nice job!
