First off this looks like Uber fun.
Second i like how this shot is so candid and colorful. The colors in the bracelet charms are so bright and colorful it really makes all the dust colors come alive-
I would have liked to see more peoples faces in focus perhaps if you had taken this shot in frount of the crowd instead of behind?
But i dont think you would have gotten this one particular girl in focus like that though.. Eh! I love it still though cause i like color.

Now i wished there was a short description of what this was all about e.deviantart.net/emoticons/b/b… " width="15" height="15" alt="" title=" (Big Grin)"/> I've never heard of a "Holi fest"before. I have seen something sort of like this in Ke$ha's music vid in the pool... Never thought it was a fun event though.

Unsurprisingly given it's a photo of Holi, the colours in this are fantastic! There's extra impact given to the scene by the fact that the only face you can clearly see is the girl on the right who is clearly lost in the enjoyment and activity of the moment. You've managed to capture it at a great point, motion is clearly part of the photo, something you've managed to highlight particularly well with her hair flying and either by luck, design or editing you've managed to clearly define her hair from the background whilst keeping the same tones, therefore keeping her part of the whole.

The one difference I would have made would have been to either move the camera to the right (or crop a little further) or in post-editing defocus on the girl on the left, I'd say that at the moment too much of the eye is drawn into her, when it's the girl on the right who is really making the scene.

However, great evocative rendering of what looks like a fun moment!

this particular photo, the girl had just seen one of her friends and was super excited. the photos in general are of Holi Festival, its a celebration of spring time. like the guy below said, people in some places throw paints, but powders are also thrown (everyone throws at the same time for the main part of the celebration) into the air as everyone dances and celebrates. its pretty amazing.

Laziness...
basically is the hindu celebration of good over evil by splashing eachother with paint, spices and powder (anything with bright colors)
