how do you do the drip technique? and what types of paints work best with it? i've always wanted to try it.

i just use acrylic. they recommend you use certain products to water down the paint.. and there is good reason for that.. but up until now i've always used water! apparently its less llikely to disintegrate over time... with the products that is.

The drip here is extremely effective! Many overuse the drip technique, but this works really really well. And your work with the fabrics is divine. Really really great piece.
Has your portraiture ever been influenced by Tamara de Lempicka? Here it just reminded me a very tiny bit of her work.

hmm well if it has been, it was very unconcious i've never been a huge fan of her, partially because of the way she paints, but some of the images subject matter and how she frames it seems pretty cool
