I based Queen Chrysalis off of Magicman's Japanese version of Queen Chrysalis he really captures her selfishness and evil behavior. This artwork was based off of a conversion with him of trying to show the this flood fan fiction idea.

This is a scene from a fan fiction called Flood Last Stand in Canterlot. The fan fiction is going to be odd in that it will have half the characters be Changelings and humans dealing with run away sea level rise. In this scene here in the first part of the fan fiction. The human character Roger's Changeling friend Chrissie www.deviantart.com/art/Chrissy… has been appointed as the new Queen of the Changelings. Queen Chrysalis meanwhile was forced to step down and have Chrissie take her place as queen to avoid a full out counter attack from Canterlot Castle. What also happened with Queen Chrysalis stepping down was she was asked by her council of Changeling Queens to let Chrissie take over too to restore balance to the Changeling Empire and try to improve their image as Changelings with the ponies. The Council of Queens is a group of four to five Changeling Queens who rule States in the Changeling Empire called Hives. The Council of Queens are loyal to Queen Chrysalis and her royal family to a curtain point. But it is not uncommon for some of the other Queens on the council to make their own peace and trade deals with the City of Canterlot and the Ponies. But as for this balance the Council of Queens they had been feuding with Queen Chrysalis ever since Queen Chrysalis attacked Canterlot with out telling them about the attack plans first which many of them would not have approved of. In fact after the attack on Canterlot Queen Chrysalis felt so humiliated by her failed attack at Canterlot and not to mention her ego was damaged. That Queen Chrysalis fled the Changeling Empire for two years fleeing though a Anomaly into the human world called the Breach which is a gateway between Earth and Equestira. She quickly puts together another feeding and conquest plan of the human world when she learns that humans have ten times more love energy then ponies do. So she uses her magic and cross breeds with a human to create her daughter Chrissie which really stands for Chrysalis the Second. Chrissie is a half human half Changeling girl and she soon finds herself hating her mother. Chrissie even hated her mother Queen Chrysalis to a point that she ran away and got a job pretending she was a Cruise director on the cruise ship the Seas Pride aka the Love Boat. Once she is on the Love Boat she quickly finds herself making friends with humans and she also finds herself around more love then she can devour in her life time. But of Course Queen Chrysalis shows up with plans to high jack the cruise ship she is on. Chrissie along with her human friends defeat her mother Queen Chrysalis leaving Chrysalis badly bruised.

Meanwhile the Council of Queens learns that Queen Chrysalis is captured and locked up in the Crystal Empire. They also learn about Chrissie who even though she is half human she is considered valuable by Chrissie's Grandmother to take over ruling the Changeling Empire in her place. The Concil of Queens quickly send out two Queens to personally go get Chrissie and Queen Chrysalis to bring them both back to Chrissie's Grandmother. Once Chrissie and Chrysalis are back in the Changeling Empire Chrissie's Grandmother quickly tells them both to put their feud behind them and focus on expanding and maintaining the Changeling Empire along with finding food for their subjects. While this is all going on Chrissie is shocked to learn from the other Changeling Queens on the Council of Queens that not all Changelings are evil and rotten like her mother Queen Chrysalis.

ÂÂÂ Once Chrissie learns this that she doesn't have to be a monster like her mother is she quickly decides to remake herself into the Changeling Queen version of the English Princess Kate Middleton in that while living around the humans she always did like Kate Middleton. In that she noticed how Kate Middleton's subjects gave her tons of love and that if Kate Middleton was a Changeling Queen she would have more love then any Changeling Queen dreamed was possible from her subjects. Chrissie wanting to be a open friendly and very active Changelings Queen who travels a lot always being seen in public. She is a sharp contrast to her Mother Queen Chrysalis who never leaves her castle hates her subjects referring them as stupid peasants loves beating up her castle servants for the shake of it. Is greedy and most of the Queen of being arrogant to the world around her or to anything that could wreak her kingdom. She also threatens anyone who doesn't agree with her even if she is about to make a bad decision that could wreak her whole kingdom. With these things said about Chrissie and her mother having two different ways of running things Queen Chrysalis finds herself with each passing day finds herself becoming less and less important as her subjects and minsters along with the castle servants listening more and more to Chrissie. In that for one thing Chrissie likes calling her subjects My beloved Subjects vs Queen Chrysalis saying stupid mindless starving peasants. But even though Chrissie has all of these things going for her Queen Chrysalis still has the bulk of her loyal Changeling Generals and the military on her side holding on to the real power of the Changeling Empire. Chrissie finds herself having to make a power sharing and a compromise with her mother into running the Empire even if her mother keeps trashing the place. Things for the time being form a steady peace between Chrissie and her mother but soon the oceans start to rise to devour up the land.ÂÂÂ

In this case here in this artwork Chrissie's human friend Roger who used to work on the Cruse ship the Seas Pride as a ocean researcher. Roger has come to visit Chrissie in the Changeling Empire to see how she is doing in that he loves her and wants her to succeed as the new Queen of the Changelings. Roger also being a resercher also wants to study Changelings and Changeling culture. Of course once Roger shows up Chrissie is very glad to see him and is quite happy when she gets to feed off of all of that nice juicy love he had been saving for her. Of course once Chrissie is stuffed from none aggressively feeding off and Roger had the ability to write down notes about the whole ordeal. Chrissie deices to go driving around the local Changeling peasant villages around the castle so Roger can see Changelings in their natural habitat to study them. Chrissie also brings one of the castle servants with them to give directions to her families home peasant village so the servant can see her family members for the first time in three months. But as they are about to hit the road one of the top Changeling Generals along with a few body guards come with to protect Chrissie and Roger from danger. Roger is also given a special robe to mark him off that he is not to be fed off of or harmed. But Roger is not really worried about the Changeling Peasants from his research harming him in that it is the Changeling Queen that can do the most damage to a pony or human.

The trouble soon starts for the Changeling Empire and everyone in the fan fic when the Servant Changeling Peasant girl vists her family of rice farmers. When Roger and Chrissie are able to meet their Servant's family member they tell Chrissie and Roger that they are starving in that evil spirts have taken over the rice padies and are killing off of their rice crops. Chrissie asks Roger to study what is going on with the rice crops dying. While this goes on the Changeling Peasants make a comment to Chrissie that she is the first royal family member to go out and see many of the problems that they are facing.

Roger comes back with disturbing news that that tons and tons of brackish seawater has some how forced it's way up the River deltas to the foot steps of the Changeling Capital City. He also digs more into it and discovers that somehow over the last six months the global sea levels in Earth and Equestira have somehow risen up a full two meters above the old sea level. He also warns Chrissie that the rate of sea level rise appears to be rising faster and faster. Chrissie meanwhile now worried about her subjects quickly orders all of the coastal villages abandoned and her subjects relocated to higher ground based off of what her human friend Roger said about the quickly rising oceans levels. The Changeling General who was with Roger and Chrissie that day agrees with Roger but only do to Roger having a list of hard data that any one could look at and figure out that something is going horribly wrong.

Queen Chrysalis meanwhile once Chrissie and Roger get back to the castle demands that they show him why Chrissie ordered over 1,200,000 of her subjects relocated 1200 miles inland from the Changeling Swamps. Chrysalis also becomes enraged at Chrissie and Roger when she learns that Chrissie ordered the massive relocation of peasants and military based off of Roger's data which basically came from a None Changeling. Chrissie in this scene right now has taken her mother down to the 25 foot high earthen levees along some of the drowning rice paddies. Chrissie points to the fact that the sea has somehow risen over 20 feet above the old sea level. She also point out to a arrogant Queen Chrysalis who is still yelling at her about Roger being a none Changeling and who is basically food in my book that the sea is now poring over many of the levees by a few inches.

Queen Chrysalis yelled, "I'm not going to stand here as the rightful Queen of the Changelings and listen to a None Changeling a human tell me that I'm going to have to abandon half my kingdom do to the oceans rising. This is an abomination that we as Changelings Queens have to listen to someone who is basically food for us to feed off of. In that we Changelings are not meant to have none Changeling friends in that it's a sin angst nature. Now about this flood thing your human steak keep talking to you and your mindless Peasant friends about for one thing it's not happening!"

Meanwhile behind Queen Chrysalis the rising brackish water in the swamps behind her started to lap around her hooves on the top of the 20 foot high earthen leveeÂ she was standing on top of looking down at the flooding rice paddies. What also didn't help her was Roger's 100 foot long boat was now getting ready to get thrown over the top of the levee into the rice paddies.

Roger meanwhile had to say good bye to Chrissie and had to leave to avoid confronting a angry Queen Chrysalis. In that he knew Chrysalis was the type to bite into his neck to pull out the love from his blood to drink him dry like a juicy juice drink. Chrysalis was even shocked when Roger talked scientifically that he wasn't worried about getting drained of his love by Chrysalis. But he was worried that he would bleed to death when she would bite into his neck with her three inch long fangs that Changelings use to hold their prey to drain them of love."

The flood on the other hand felt very good about itself in that now it had is natural enemy Roger leaving to go home to a drowning human world.
