Inspired by a drawing from Rupert cartoonist John Harold.

I drew Rupert Bear, the children's comic strip character created by the English artist Mary Tourtel and also famous from his own cartoon series, produced by Nelvana, which aired on Nickelodeon and YTV (5seasons, 65 episodes).

It's traditional made with pencils, coloring, markers and waterproof paint on canvas. This picture is a scan of the Original.

I really love this almost 100-year old bear. The stories and the series is what got me. Probably the last time i saw anything of him was the show way back in 2003 or 2004. Then i forgot, but never really. Recently my attention and appreciation for the character is coming back and i must say, i missed him a lot.
