I can understand that very well, and I know that many of my dear friends (even me) were in such a situation as you are now.

If you are going to stress yourself, you won't be that creative ;; //because stress is the biggest inspiration-killer
So take it easy, and take your time ;v;; Have patience! Of course, it will not work at the first or second time, but stay tuned <33 

And the thing with the characters and originality.... I have also made fan characters, who looked more like the original character, than an really self-made character :'> //also because I really love the characters design n stuff
But you can still work on the design of the character! Let you inspire you by other things than just one character nvn //Moodboards, clothing, hair styles etc, colors etc.//
But..... I think it's not bad, I mean....It wasn't your fault! One of my friends had this problem too, and I think people shouldn't delete or work on the characters design if it has similarities with an another person's character! (fortuitously). 
and don't let any hate //if so// taking you! <3 
If you decide to go to Insta again then... Just ignore the haters! Let them, maybe just say that they could please stop with it,  your opinion, etc. (Dunno ;v;; ) I mean, it can happen that characters made of other persons can have similarities to those of the other persons character fortuitously!

Awww, deary it's okay, I understand how you feel. People might say that your characters may remind you of another character or that they aren't original (trust me I had one person on my art saying that about one of your characters despite them barely being similar in anyway in my opinion and I wasn't happy about hearing upon that >:/ ) but they are beautiful to me, I really so admire them. And besides nothing is truly original. Your art is so fucking amazing too. Better than me, I'm really not that experience, I'm only three years in, but even then I too struggle with many things in art and characters )xD

I'm sorry that you feel that way, I really do hope that you feel better. You're an amazing artist and character maker. I hope your art and characters and I look forward to seeing more from you, really, you're amazing. Feel better soon *hugs* :>

Ahhh, I get what you mean when you make art and it's not how you pictured it and you're just like "WhY iS tHiS sO bAd?!?!" But i honestly LOVE your art! I know what i say won't really mean much to you, But i really think your art is AMAZING and i'm actually incredibly jealous of your talent. And honestly i didn't even know you based some of your character designs off of cannon characters, Idk they always just seemed so original to me, And still do to me.

Sometimes it's good to take just a break from art to clear your mind, I know when i was going through some hard times that really helped me, Although i was really depressed about how bad my ocd was at the time and not art(Mostly) ._. BUT i do hope you feel better!

I know how you feel, when you’re talking about how things pop in your head and they don’t come out right when you draw them. If it makes you feel any better, you’re not the only one who struggles with this- and even sometimes, there’s a possibility you could draw something, it doesn’t come out the way you wanted it to, but it comes out way better than you expected. It’ll happen to you eventually, so just don’t give up on it okie? 

I get that feeling where when you fail at drawing something, try again and again, and everytime it doesn’t go right— you eventually lose motivation. (I honestly felt that way when I drew that character design for you lmao.) Again, you’re not the only one who deals with it so hh- we can struggle together? :”) idk I’m trash at words.

I understand what you mean when you say that you really do like designs of official/cannon character designs and then try to make your own like it but make it too exact. That’s legit me- but with people’s OCs. Your OCs might have some of same the traits as official/cannon character designs, but they’re still made by you and they have their own originality whether you see it or not. 

Tbh in the end there’s really no actually original designs, because each and every design shares something in common with another. Sometimes I have to remind myself about this, and I guess you should he reminded of it too.

Also your OCs are absolutely amazing, because they were made by you, so you shouldn’t feel insecure about them. Although I understand that saying this won’t help you in the slightest and I also understand why you feel that insecurity— because of what others have said in the past. They’re kinda like scars, in a way. Still, super relatable though.

And trust me, I’ve seen worse OCs, like actual recolors OR people copying OC official/cannon character designs, changing one small thing like the eye color, and then saying that’s their OC. You actually try to be different and that’s something respectable about you, and that’s also something others don’t have and should actually try, like you, to do.

I know how you feel. It may not make you feel better but to me your art is absolutely wonderful and unique. So are your designs! They always warm my heart and make my day whenever I see them. I know you feel down but things will get better soon. I really hope you can get to a happy place with your art and be proud of it quq
