Description This li'l fae turned up in the geraniums one morning -- I persuaded him to pose for a portrait, but he wasn't too happy about it...

Hatch is sculpted of polymer clay; he is 6 inches tall.

Hatch was on the New Masters of Fantasy 2004 CD -- and that's where I first saw YOUR stuff! I luv the way you use natural materials...

That's where I saw him! I knew, I had seen him before! LOL! So then you're at Epilogue too, I think I've seen your Centaur as well.

Yah, I have a page at Epilogue, and Elfwood, too. So far dA is the most fun, tho!

very awesome. the eyes have a really cool stare to them. The detail in the feet and hands are great. is the egg part hollow or filled with clay?

Thanx again!
The egg is hollow -- he's got a complete little body inside the shell.

I think this is the best! Really like the pose and the hands and feet are perfect in detail! Do you put wire frame in the finger areas? What tool do you use?

I don't use wire in the fingers anymore -- I find I can do more expressive hands if I don't have to struggle with the wire. The only plus i've found for wire in the fingers is one doesn't lose the bits if they break...but they still break.

My favorite tool is a cheap manicure stick that I pay $1 for 10 in a pack at WalMart or Target...=-)
I'm a tool junkie and have boxes full, but besides my orangewood stick only use about 5 on a regular basis -- 2 different dental spoons, a needle tool, a ball stylus, and my XActo knife...

Yeah, I don't do wire in the fingers either, just wondered if you did because it seemed really sturdy...hehe, Thanks for the information! Yeah, the only toold I used is : [link] Its the best tool I use on all my models! hehe. Thanks again!
