I say thanks to Him every day. To be honest, I haven't gone to confession in 12 years. That was before I received communion. Next time I go to church, I want to make a confession again. I've repented quite a lot this past month, but I think going to confession would be even better. A dear friend of mine was saved last Easter and on Sunday, he will be baptized, even though it won't be at my church. Out of genuine care, mikesmom37 suggested I go to confession. This time as a man.

Do note that no man can save you through a confession, it is between you and God only.

I understand. What I meant was I'll be going to confession as a grownup.

I just feel like going back to confession. I started getting more and more closer to Jesus around very late September of 2016. But I'm not sure if that what's being saved means....

All you have to do is ask Jesus Christ to come into your heart and for Him to forgive you of your sins and clenze you of Satan's evil work. The Holy Ghost comes to those who are Baptized, after that point, He serves as a spiritual guide for your soul to follow under the teachings of Christianity. Only the basics are required to be saved but one is not forever saved because no matter how hard we try, we're still sinners and thus the process must continue periodically.
