Ok, we are entering in the spoiler area here. So you better turn back if you haven't finish the game. (I know if you are reading it, it means you have finish the game. But still!)So here it is, the moment when everything turned upside down for Asriel and his parents. Every time I think of this story, I can't help but feel the distress of Toriel and Asgore, as their adoptive child passed away.

Personal note:
The death of a close one is always a difficult and breaking moment. It is horrible to observe as it is in the end so laborious and simple in the same time. Chaotic and peaceful.
I personally experienced it, warming up someone's body to keep them alive, listening their respiration as it slow down and holding their hand as they last breath. There is always this moment when the world stops as you wait for this next breath that never comes. Everything is so silence, it is surreal.
I have closed twice the eyes of members of my family. And it is not as easy that movie makes you think.

That is what my grand mother told me, when the day we buried my aunt. she was sitting in the kitchen and we were just us two. I asked how she was and she look at me smiling: "I gave birth to four children, I buried two."

Those were very painful moments, but it made me grow so much that I see this as a gift. I came from a large family, more than a hundred in simply my mother side. So I experienced a certain amount of death: By age, accident, sickness. Or just because. Most of the time, either you don't expect it and it is a choc, or you know it is about to happen and you don't want to see it happen. You wait until it happen, it is stressful, and you are release the moment you receive a phone call. Or in the case it is sudden, you feel like something as broken in you.
But in both case, you would feel that something is missing. And the missing part is the goodbye.
Yes, it is moving and hard to watch someone die. It takes you all your strength to not let your fear take you over. And I have a terrible phobia about dying. But I am so glad that I could do it, because I was there until the end. I could say goodbye. I could see the last moment and have a real closure. It is saddening but it makes the grieving easier. It also give you a different approach on life. Just like watching someone giving birth. The first and only time I watch a woman giving birth in a river, it was magical. You hear people talking about the pain, the movie makes it appears messy and spectacular. And often it is.
But also often it is just simple and peaceful. Welcoming life and saying it goodbye. It is strangely beautiful. And it makes life more precious and less scary.
