Star was literally murdered by Toffee and had to ressurect herself like freaking jesus, also in that final blow, she was at the same time bringing back all the magic in the universe Toffee had tainted. Also Also, Toffee in that scene was portrayed as impossibly powerful and fighting them seemed beyond him, so an anime fight scene would of felt out of place.
