Aa yes, the title is a nice commentary on Christians expecting salvation from inconsistent acts, OR IS IT? TheΒ idea that Xtianity is only one religion is VERY false, in case you other commenters don't get it.

That's right. No salvation in any religion whatsoever.

every time there is an earthquake, flood, hurricane, terrorist attack, or whatever kills alot of people it feels like just that, like thousands of souls scream through my body and it hurts like hell

They remind me so much of the masks the school children wear in Pink Floyd's The wall. And it's sooooooooooo creepy! I hate it because they're gonna give me nightmares, but that's also a sign that it's very good at something at least xP

Love this so much! It kinda reminds me of the masks they use in Pink Floyd: The Wall movie, for all the kids there, and thats a good thing!!
Really awesome work!Β

I like your interpretation of screams. Something you really like to paint.
Screams are always so useless. Or it is our "civilization" that makes it useless... But as a theme for art they become not so useless.

Thanks! The primal scream is indeed a good metaphor in art...

Oh my, what a vivid portrayal of angst. Β A lot of emotion and just a little bit creepy. Β lol
Acrylic on cardboard. Β Interesting. Β I've only ever painted on canvas (or when hobbying on cheap sickening sweet ceramics). Β Do you use a certain type of cardboard and do you prep it with anything so the paint doesn't "sink in" into the cardboard? Β Just curious....

Thanks a lot!Β
It's regular cardboard, the one with the wavy structure inside.
I wish I did it on canvas instead, because cardboard it not that nice,
the surface is totally bend & it looks wonky, ah well at least I got a good photo...

Wonderful. It has so much resonance for the world in which we live. I often feel so many people are crying out and some are ignoring them because they are also crying out, some because they feel overwhelmed and others simply because they don't want to know. It so much reflects how I feel at the moment - yet it also gives me hope when others feel the same as it means things can be changed for the better. Β Β Β

Thanks Mike! It was not the intention I had, but I appreciate your interpretation,
It was more a personal abstract expression of mental anguish, but it might as well be what you've just described...

I think quite often personal expressions can overlap with the world, particularly in the world as it is Β now. I used to used to think I could separate my personal feelings from the broader world, but so often the outside confirms my feeling of helplessness, though it also helps me set my own situation in context. Your painting is still a very powerful statement on many levels. Β Β Β Β
