My entry for the contest.

I wanted to do something that showed the werewolf's human side and how they feel about it. The werewolf in this picture is symbolically there in natural form to let us, the viewer, know he/she isn't human. The people going past him/her are too busy with their own lives to notice a wolf in disguise.

"While there are some signs that someone might be a werewolf, must humans are uneducated in these signs. For one reason or another, werewolves will occasionally integrate into human society. It is most apparent then the differences in behavior in werewolf society compared with human. Werewolves that live with humans often feel like they stick out like a sore thumb, even if they've completely learned social behavior. They might fight their own natural instincts at time, but most that have integrated hold their own well.
Much like the Deaf community or the LGBT community, werewolves living in cities may form a hidden community with it's own culture separate from both werewolf and human, often a modified mix of them both."

I might go back and tweak the description. I really want to write more but too much is too much. Ah well, maybe I can talk more about it if I make another painting about werewolves living with humans.
