I'm pretty sure this is a python, a large carpet snake. it's not an anaconda...some ppl are so americanised *shakes head*

At first I thought it must be a carpet snake or a diamond python, but I had a look at a bunch of images of those and other Aus pythons (via google) and the markings are all wrong, I also had a look at the green Anaconda and the markings are right for that. Also, based on the spacing of the tire tracks on the road, I'd estimate the length of this one at 4.5 to 5 meters long (which is the average size of an adult green anaconda), and diamond pythons are 4 meters max.
So, nope. I don't think it's a native snake.
On closer inspection of the photo I'm inclined to agree with *Phoenix-Cry that this pic wasn't taken in Aus after all. Not just because of the bananas, but the other trees too. I can't see any gums. And Aussie dirt roads usually have more yellow in them than that. Or the ones I'm familiar with do...

i was thinkin that the trees didn't look like aussie trees actually.but anacondas aren't australian
