oh man for the record I'm acutally really terrible at this game, even though it is fun and I love the characters. Doesn't Kyoko have a grab super where she acutally dashes foward quite some distance, considering its a grab? :0

Yes, and it's sweet. But you can't really combo into it like you can her other special, which does like 3 high-flying back-breakers.
I haven't actually played it in forever, so I'm totally all talk, ha ha.
Gan's grab super is way more fearsome than hers, because it's instant and combo-able. But it doesn't misalign their bones in as precise a measure as Kyoko's, which I'm certain means something important.
