Before Homo Sapiens Sapiens rapidly expanded across the globe, no human species had set foot on the lands of the west. Despite only inhabiting these lands for a relatively short period, these humans produced a great diversity of peoples. The success of these settlers exemplifies the sapiens’s relentless drive to expand, as every wave of migrants out of Africa eventually reached all the way to the new world.

Interestingly, all of the populations that would eventually reach the new world never happened to intermingle with any other human species on their way. Because of this, their genetic diversity paled in comparison to the archaic hybrid lineages of the old world. This issue would be reversed in the Granmuria cataclysm, when a supernatural force warps the humans of the northern continent into bizarre forms. The millennia following this event would see the rise entirely new species in the new world, such as the gaublins, konstants and wendago.
