I prefer this over Advanceshipping, but I still ship both and the recently announced Amourshipping (Ash x Serena)

Well, to put it briefly, Dawn's counterpart in the anime is that she is very confident and assured in her own strength, but she is also very emotional and cries very often, and she sometimes blames others for her failures but later she admits to her own mistakes. She also acts very much like a typical girl, caring a lot about her appearance, mainly her hair, and refusing to show it if she thinks it's not complete.

Well since both Ash and Dawn have similar beginnings, first their starter pokemon Pikachu and Piplup, respectively, don't like them at first but until they were attacked by a swarm of pokemon Spearow for Ash and Ariados for Dawn, and their starters saved them and grew very close to one another. I kinda like this shipping the best.

This is a second favourite for me, right behind Advanceshipping. I'm surprised that Dawn receives a lot of hate due to her anime counterpart; she's my second favourite PokΓ©mon girl, with May in first place. These two really seem to be a great match, and they're my second option if Ash/May aren't official (I really hope they are, though. I love Advanceshipping)

I think he means Dawn in the Pokemon Diamond & Pearl video games, who, just like any other Player Character in the Pokemon games, is as good as you make them. With the anime being a different medium from the games, the writers had to establish a personality for Dawn in the anime.
