Melody was born to parents on the run from a tyrannical king, who left her in the care of the mage Eva, a family acquaintance who was named the vixen’s godmother and sole guardian. As a result, Melody never got to know her parents and grew up under the doe’s apprenticeship, where she was taught in the ways of healing magic, standard medicine, and endosoma. The two lived and worked out of a clinic in a small hamlet, where Eva was the primary physician and Melody made occasional trips into a nearby city for supplies. It was on one of these excursions that Melody met Theron, a timberwolf beastfolk and freshly-discharged royal guardsman at the local tavern. The two felt a strong connection and became romantically involved shortly thereafter, settling in a hovel deep in the woods. Ever since then, Melody has taken to wearing a silver coin around her neck as a reminder that not everyone coming out of the kingdom is her enemy.
