I did this comic as a way to introduce people to the site and comic. Tomcat Ltd was originally going to be a comic site first and a gallery secondly, but as I designed more and more, the comic fell further into the background leaving the home page to the news blog. No matter though. I'm hoping that people will like it enough to not worry about the /comics.html thing they have to type in after the tomcatltd.com The joke I put in there regarding Gar telling everybody that he's not an apelike thing is because when saw it originally she said those exact words (the Uncle Ruckus joke just came by itself after that). This also established the original coloring style I used in the next strip before stopping completely for something a bit more streamlined. Two days later Tim the Bear's cousin Gar was found mangled to death! The culprit: A male African American with a glass eye and a pot belly in his 70's was found with a various assortment of knives and blunt object. DNA confirmed the blood match the victim as well as matches to Cleveland Brown of Stoolbend, Virginia and Dr. Julius Hibbert of Spingfeild, Illinois. Upon arrest he shouted racial epataphs and had to be tased. No word on a trial date, but he is monting an appeal to the Senetor stating, "I had to protect the sanctity of all that is bright and white, clean and pure! These niggas could not be allowed to mess with the natural order of things! Mow here's the whether...

Yeah. when I first showed Gar to people, the comments were "What's that ape-like thing?" I thought I needed the clarification. And Boondocks had just come on, so it was inevitable.

Yep someone confused him as an ape in one comic, so I wrote this one to remedy that.

really it was reasons like that that I developed her personality more and as you can see the end result is a bit meeker and like the Posey we all know and love.

Well there's always that risk. You could consider a watermark. I never liked them myself, but then I've never had people steal my work. Either I'm just lucky or oblivious.
