Thanks. Surprisingly, this loved and hated by both sides of the Terwilliger fandom spectrum. I consider this pretty crude now that I know how to handle paintdotnet pretty well, but Something Awful featured this on a article to my surprise.
Another thanks for all the recent favorites.

Poor Bob.
Can't people realise that Bort is not canon and never will be.

Lately, it doesn't bother me anymore, I just take it as a silly fandom thing and just pay attention at what happens in the show.

Not sure, usually it's people just drawing their own Simpsons characters and pair them off than characters from the actual show.

So, it's the same. I just drew it based on conclusions, since I felt it hurt my view of the character at the time. Now I know when to keep my mouth shut about things, such as Twilight and illegal Immigration in the US.

Personally, I just keep on wondering why this is my most favored piece, but when you said that, I agree.
To me, I find romance slows a story down if written wrong, and if with two copywrited characters, it makes it even harder for me to understand how the machanics work with the two. Sure, if I wrote two characters, they probably end up with some horrific situation where they found out the romance doesn't work.
In my own mind, love happens to ruin some characters while others see upsides. If I find that two already made characters love each other, then I go with it. If not, then I don't pair. Shipping is something I don't tread on.

Um, it's happened, and women say that Marge being gagged by Robert is "sexy"? Um, whatever flow your boat fanatics, I'm a votary.
Not a lover, not a hater, a neutralist. If that offends you, THEN YOU PICK A TITLE FOR ME THEN!(This isn't toward you Violeta)

.....fine. Since "fangirl" has such a negative connotation, I go with "a girl who likes Sideshow Bob, but not *that* way". I don't feel the need to turn him into something he's not, and that happens with many other characters I like. I like them the way they are.
Saw that "Marge kidnapped" image. OOC doesn't begin to cover it. It was well-drawn though. Me, I'll stick with drawing consensual pictures of canon couples. And if somebody doesn't like it, too bad.

I wasn't referring tp a picture, but a fiction I read because one of the Robert fanatics posted it in either their description or journal.
Well, I prefer to think of you as a votary because you respect the character as much as I do. Unfortunately, maybe "respect" isn't really what I do since I like to think of people as subjects to study if their interesting enough. Oh boy, I sound like Lloyd from Code Geass.

Your welcome, that is what fiction written from other sources limitates us. With Camoflauge, Skeleton Park, Red Diamond, and the endless storylines I combusted from my mind, I get freedom.

I tend to wonder why people would rather place their inhibitions in front of morals, but that's just me.
I usually tilt my head when I see pictures of the type you referred to, and wonder what they think. Mainly to my curiosity due to being disgusted but dumb-founded at the same time.

Well, I don't like slash to begin with. I agree with you.
I think those fans are crazy. I like Sideshow Bob, not because he is insane. But, deep down, he's a caring and loving guy and he hates Bart.

Ohthehumanityplz In reply to sideshowbobfanatic [2009-06-06 07:16:46 +0000 UTC]
I find Bart as a sort of chaos in the series. He might try to show qualities that make him seem redeemable, but there's the evil that he was born with, if you remember that scene from one of the latest episodes.
What if Robert is actually in secret trying to stop Bart for good reasons? I apologize for the backwards outlook, but this might make him the anti-hero due to Bart being just as much as a villain as Bob is. Then again, humanity prevails to make ourselves reach a chance to do things that seem downright bad as well.

I'm not into Simpsons slash personally. Just none of appeals to me. Some other fandoms I find it amusing and occasionally I'll even like it, as long as it's tastefully portrayed. I can respect all slash except for the kind of thing that's traumatizing poor Bob here. His reaction is my own when I first heard people were pairing him with Bart. And Cecil... Very good drawing (I really like the style) and that's exactly how I'd picture his reaction, maybe vomiting a panel or two later if it continued. Excellent work!

The "vomit" comment must be based on that picture you drew, right?
No, I imagine he would take a cold shower and then try to bask the pain by relishing another pain that is Tom Clancey, that way both negatives would ease his headache.
Now that I think about it, I'm getting a headache upon figuring what would ease his pain.
Maybe chamomile tea would help him.

Eh.., I've seen which characters he gets paired with more often: Bart (eewww!), his own brother (ick!), and Mel (ummm...). Never with women, unless it's an OC.

Me, I go with the canon source. Francesca is his love and that's how it will stay.
Selma is a another story, and he missed a chance with Edna Krabapple due to Bart. He's a sympathetic character if you actually pay attention to the episodes he appears in. Even the music video "Do the Bartman".
Sorry to detract from the conversation, but can you believe that people actually want Smithers and Mr. Burns together?! It scares me. Just... the ... image... of... intercourse... toget- Ah! My mind is shriveling from the very thought! X(

Well, the canon feeling Smithers has with Burns seems as a cosmic joke as you have pointed out yourself. The fans have Burns actually aware that Smithers is in love with him. Brr...

Actually, the internet and rule #34 teach that. It's bad enough that Hollywood rapes our childhood memories, but when fellow fans do it even worse than Hollywood (i.e. through very graphic depictions of sex and murder), then that's when you know we are all going to Hell in a handbasket.
