I understand that Ember would feel betrayed the time Smolder went missing. Still, it felt over the top how far she lapsed back into her father’s cruel sense of justice.

Now that the Princesses have proven they really can be trusted, I hope she will never think again about burning down a kingdom.

(To what extent she would have acted on such a threat remains an open question, since she never got around to making preparations. She was quite easily appeased.)

I understand she’s your favorite dragon. I don’t mean to argue with you. I was just sharing my own feelings.

I like Ember, too. It’s just that her temper has been known to be wildly unpredictable. Her concern for Smolder has been a great make-or-break issue.

My favorite dragon is Spike. He’s the one who helped to make King Thorax and Lord Ember. For me, Smolder is second, and Ember is third.
