Shadow's memories weren't as clear as he thought they would be.On that fateful day, his best friend, Maria...
Before she was shot by a GUN Soldier...
She went insane.
Usually when I see a fanart of Maria, she would either look sad or look very happy. I really wanted to do a more different picture of Maria Robotnik, a different view of her.
I just thought this up though. xD; I was like thinking, maybe she went insane on the day she was killed? Maybe she went insane because her only friend had to be destroyed and she didn't want that to happen so she...ya know. Lost it? Man, she really wants to kill all em soldiers LOL...
Once again, I was inspired by the Battle Royale manga, which is the best manga I have ever read so if you see it around, make sure you buy it. I loved it when the characters in that manga went insane so yeah there's the inspiration....
Oh yeah. I can't freaking draw a gun. I'm sorry. Where the hell did she get a gun anyway!? Maybe she found it stashed somewhere I dunno. D:

This is beautiful! I love how amazing she looks and I quite like the idea of Maria becoming insane. In fact, I saw several good AUs where Shadow was the one who died and Maria became evil or where she survived, (but in cold sleep) was revived and became a trigger-happy hitwoman who either works forΒ or against G.U.N.

Oohh, that's priceless *_* It's just amazing, aside from being a pure insanity, it's just amazing. Honestly, it's one the most creative Maria's fanart I've ever seen! Ohhhh, how I want to actually SEE it happening - I like little kids who truly are all dangerous, carries heavy weapons and can be a pure horror for the devil itself...

I like that idea better than what Sega did. I never liked the image of Maria being so helpless and all. In fact, in the fan comic I was working on at one point, I changed the scene so that she had a gun in her hand when she was leaning over that control panel. The thought of her just giving up without a fight never seemed right to me, y'know?
