Strawberry is just a common pearl, given away from gem to gem. Her defects are that she's off-colored, and that her gem is not only smaller than normal, but was supposed to be on the other shoulder. She was made for a Rose-Quartz in Pink Diamond's Court, but when her original owner was poofed and bubbled, she belonged to no one and has been assigned to different gems here and there.

Caramel is a made-to-order personal pearl. She is regal in appearance due other status, as she is fit to serve a noble, aristocratic gem. Although she is just a pearl, she often carries a higher title than other pearls, and is even occasionally treated like an equal by other gems. She was made for and serves in Yellow Diamond's Court.
