i think that irises were made for imagery, somehow they always look interesting. the ir certainly produces another dimension

Agreed, Mike. This was a typical orange type of wild iris, but with this IR work up the blue tinges certainly add a different feel to it. I'm pleased with the luminosity mask treatment, as I could isolate the highlights and sharpen them more aggressively than the rest of the image.

Thank you, Linda - as Mike says irises come out particularly well in this sort of treatment. Here's one I did earlier, as they say on Childrens' TV here, that proved popular.
