Description History

Born to the young mother Magic nearby British Columbia, Venus was not a wanted calf based on her half-breed status and therefore had a rather off putting upbringing where she was constantly bullied or neglected. Her mother cared for her, but emotionally was not attached to Venus, unlike Venus' later two brothers.
Due to several instances while a calf, Venus developed a fear of dark places, associating them with places where bad things happen. One day Venus got separated from her pod in a storm and had her life saved by an exiled Okura and Tiare, Venus beginning to accept them as friends once she got over her initial fear of the siblings. Eventually after a falling out, she left her pod to join them for a while.
Venus has formed a bond with Okura, the young cow finding the fact that Okura does not judge her for who she is something that she likes. She also huddles close to him during dark areas, finding comfort from her fear of dark places with him. Tiare however, has accepting Venus as an 'aunt', Venus acting almost like a surrogate mother for the young Tiare.
Though Venus is a hybrid, she was raised by fish eating orcas and believes in their ideals. She finds the fact Okura and Tiare eat other mammals sickening, sometimes gagging at the sight or taste of the blood in the water. Venus prefers fish and her two favourites are herring and salmon, provided she can  catch some of the salmon before Okura gorges himself on them.
Venus' main weaknesses are her fear of dark places and her issues with self-acceptance. As pod members often called her out for who she was, Venus has trouble accepting that she is half and half of the orca types, instead fearing what she calls her 'darker half' and attempting to squash it down. Occasionally, she may have nightmares about it, Venus believing she is actually a killer deep down from what she was constantly told by pod members.
Strength wise, Venus is rather devoted to the siblings, particularly Okura, considering them family now. She has a very sweet singing voice and knows many stories and songs. She also can be somewhat dominant and determined in her judgements as she is slowly accepting who she is and comfortable about the siblings, a stark contrast to the meek cow they originally agreed to tag along with them.

Here's Venus!

Venus has always been one of my plainer characters, so I was happy to give her a bit of an update and make a few changes here and there about her.
Main ones are her flank patches, her flukes and a slight edit in her eye patches.

May I ask, isn't there away to define a 'female' with out the eyelashes? They just always look out of place on your artwork. She already looks female even in her face with out the lashes.

Markings and eye shape I suppose. I just choose to use them as it's part of my style.
