Description

I've made a few minor changes to the Quirinus Space Fighter. Since I have not made a completely new fighter and I do not want to completely redo the background story, we simply call this fighter the Quirinus Mk II.

The history of development is preserved. The machines you see here come from the time after the successful end of the new crisis with the Mandrillus. Since the military prefers the old fighters and does not want to throw away the built Quirinus, the DeSCa suggested leaving the fighter to the Stargate Command.
This proposal was accepted. Thus, the functional Quirinus were converted to the needs of SGC and then handed over to DeSCa.
The reconstruction measures included:
The two 80 mm staff canons were replaced by a twin-barreled 25 mm rapid-fire plasma turret by the Lucian Division for Protection and Defense (Lucian Alliance).
The number of the Type-Malleo-Missiles has been increased from three to four.
And finally the Space Fighters got the shields of the Baaz Fighter of the Majabooto Sentinel Armada (Motahed Hokumat Majabooto)
In the picture you can see how three Quirinus Space Fighters of the SGC start a patrol. Behind them you can see their mothership, the S.C.S. Radek Zelenka, a SGC-Research Cruiser of the Concord class.
Further back in the picture you can see the S.C.S. David Dixon, an extremely heavily armored freighter of the Guardian-Angel Class. This is just about to expand the Galactic Defense System (GDS) with another mobGDS-Unit. Since this new RC unit is used for the defense system's drones in a system where pirates are often seen, will the S.C.S. Dixon, on this mission, from the S.C.S. Zelenka escorted. Although the transports, although he has no weapons, no problem with a pirate ship. For that, the Guardian Angels are just too heavily armored. Nevertheless, an attack would complicate the construction work. But the presence of the Zelenka should keep any pirate from coming up with stupid ideas.
