Yes.. ish? THat was the effect I guess. I was drawing artwork from greyscale>Color before. Starting with this image I'm drawing direct paint now! Alot more riskier, but alot faster and alot easier to mix in colors

I think you manage this very good! Maybe it´s actually better for you to work more "intuitive" that way?
I can tell that from my drawing or coloring only, but sometimes I am better with color shading e.g. when I take colors I can handle more variable like watercolors or acrylics or something. My problem is still when I have to manage anatomy it takes a lot of time first to get it right. I am often so fed up with that picture I don´t like to color it afterwards. lol
I noticed I did mostly either landscape or people, and coloring landscapes often come out better. :-p Okay, coloring people drawings is harder because of all the details. You think you know human but when I try, I notice I don´t know exactly . lol You are a lot better with it than me yet.
Okay, one thing is, you can do this step by step thing from greyscales to color better with digitals, you layer it above the drawing. That is a thing I can´t do much good with a shaded pencildrawing, you know? I still have to figure out the best way of combining both steps.
Hehe, this became a longer note than I thought, but I´m simply glad to know you, and taking part of that evolution process in a whole makes me happy.

Its really a hard process, I for one self studied anatomy for about a year, and There are times that I still don't get right! Just don't try to bombard yourself with too many things at the same time. Try to breathe in and take it step by step

good! just take it slow. if it would my anatomy books of choice is George bridgeman's anatomy books there are 3 of them one for heads and features, one for hands and last one for body form.
Also andrew loomis books helped out alot during my 1 year anatomy study

I heard of Loomis by another artist here on DA. :-D He must have been a good teacher/author for art.
