Aww... I just realised that Maurevar reminds me of Ser Bryant from DA: Origins... coincidence? Or... could there be a headcanon in which Bethany and possibly Mage!Hawke are safe in Lothering because there is a friend of the family in the templars, looking the other way?

This is fantastically good. The more we learn about Malcolm from the DLC, the more I want either a standalone game featuring him, or a novel about him. Malcolm Hawke = BAMF.
