This is pretty. I like it a lot. It seems a little too serene to be a dark shot, if that's what you were going for.

Hehehe- I was going more for a Final Fantasy- esque look and feel. Kind of like the calm before a big battle or after a big battle.

Simple black velvet (It is velvet, yes?) plus complex steel sword work, side by side.
Very alluring.
And the way the lights fall on everything makes this even more outstanding.
I don't know WHAT it is that is in your hair, and I'm pretty sure I don't want to know, but it is also several level of awesomeness.
I dunno why, but this is reminding me of a scene from "Dead Winter", a web comic I frequently read.
(It's a zombie comic, but there's a lot of inner monologue of the main character, so there's plenty of character development.)
It's a scene where the heroine is visited, in her mind, by both her instinct for Flight (A youthful, lisp-plagued version of herself) and Fight (A cockney accented, armor wearing version of herself).
I'd have to show you the page, but it this reminds me so much of it.

Hehehe- no velvet in this image! I like creating illusions and mystique, like with my unidentifiable hairpiece. But I'll let you in on that secret: it's a fake feather thingy- thinger on one side of my head and throughout the shoot I had to keep switching it to either side of my head!
That webcomic actually sounds familiar...
I'd love to see that scene where this image sparked your memory about that one in particular!
