Mmmm.

Coffee, my friend.

I've been letting this sit in my devwatch listing since it was posted, trying to decide what to say.

I think I'll just +fav it and hope it speaks for itself.

Very abstract because its a macro and blurry. Did you use neat image on this?

Clean, simple. I like it. Somehow I think it should be a *slightly* higher view of the cup. And maybe cropped more on the left...it's a bit off balance as is. Still I love the look of this.

I don't know what it is about taking familiar objects and photographing them in a new light, angle or focus, but I've always found the simplicity there quite beautiful.

There's nothing special about a coffee cup, especially one lacking color or a clever blurb, but I love this. It's minimalistic look is what gets my attention. The color is almost sepia-like, which is also interesting. I like how the handle stands out from the darkness in the background and how in other places the brightness blends in together.

Also, the lack of focus is quite nice. It's almost as if you made a mistake that turned out to be more intriguing than what it was supposed to be. With focus, I don't think this would have the same effect.

Nice work `olya , glad to see you're making a comeback.

Great perspective. I like the crisp starkness of the white here. The blurriness is a nice element too.

Love it.

omg the name is totaly wrong.
the correct title should be INSTANT ORGASM
okay so it's just me. I absolutely love the whiteness, the subtle tones, the simplicity the... everything.
i'm in love

Oh the tones are delicious, and so is the composition and focus. Your 995 is still doing some magic it seems. Well, of course, its only because you know how to make it do that.

very awkward focus. i guess that's what makes it original.

I love this shot and could actually see myself hanging this on the wall of my breakfast nook (or in the cafe I'd love to have some day). I love the soft fuzziness and whiteness that isn't white.

*mental note: buy print when expense reports have been reimbursed...

yea me too. i think is the exquisite way in which the framing makes it a beautiful composition and forces us to admire the beautiful and soft curves of a daily object.

I have a softspot for photography like this.
I always seem to like them
makes me wonder about the object.
one knows its a coffeecup, but I always start imaginating more around it.
what envirment is it placed, whos drinking it, is it good coffee, or is it empty
