Thanks.
But what do you mean by diffused? I've only ever used that word in chemistry and don't know how it applies to photography. XD

I think diffused means that an editing program changes the lighting, making it look blurry and such and enhancing the highlights of the subject, like that. Not sure, I'll have to look it up. I guess I could link you a picture I mean, that I'm using as a reference for 'diffused'?

Oh I think I get it. It is probably because of the lighting, it was a fairly gloomy morning so I couldn't get anything to focus, and the flash might have made the bird stand out because of its irridescent feathers.

Yeah, that's probably why. It's no problem, it's still an excellent bird. ^^

How fortunate to get so close and to have him stop running around long enough for you to photograph him. I haven't been that lucky.

I was pretty lucky. He visited our camp early in the morning to pick squished bugs off the front of the car, I managed to get close while he was distracted by yummy bug pancakes.

I'm sorry if this is totally inappropriate but this bird reminds me of Darth Vader...

Lovely little tail. Very cute and evil looking.

Now that you mention it, it does have a bit of a Darthy look. XD
