An osprey at pelican point.Other photos of ospreys from the same day can be seen here. They aren't as good as this one, but they might be useful as refs.

You are near Perth right? If you ever get the chance, take a walk around Pelican Point, there are often ospreys hanging out there, I think they nest there some years. There is a nice lookout with information on the local birds, in fact I took this photo from the lookout, and although the tip of the point is fenced off you are allowed to walk around the fence to birdwatch (but the fence goes out into the water a bit so it would inolve getting wet).
