it's not much better in summer, i've been there in june, lol. but it is a nice city, the beauty comes from charm of sadness and being abandoned.

it's my home because i spent my five months there. but the rest is awesome, say, klaipeda, Ε‘iauliai, trakai, palanga, kurΕ‘iu nerija, and even kaunas.

Do you like when people say bad things about you or place where you live?
You know, Kaunas has not wery light history of last 20 years (mafia, politics, corruption...)

well, after going to kaunas once more in june, i kind of changed my mind because in the meantime i learned how to appreciate ugliness. that strong soviet charm of destruction that vilnius and klaipeda lost in renovation.
and it was the only city in lithuania where i saw gypsies so i felt like going to serbia and belgrade!

Well, the problem is that Klaipeda is alive city with more and more new people who come to live there. And Kaunas... Well... Kaunas isn't very popular 'cause it isn't the capital of Lithuania and it isn't a sea-port like Klaipeda

kaunas is pretty, but needs really to be renovated a lot. it looks lost.
and in winter, when i went, kaunas was depressed like hell, nad i hated it.
i'm in love with klaipeda.

but look, after i visited kaunas for the second time, i really liked the way it is right now. like a post-soviet oasis with post-cold-war nuclear charm. i don't know. but there was something attractive there.
although i'd never live in kaunas.

I feel great atmosphere here... Although I can't remember any good performance... All of them seem to be... too commercial.
Also, I enjoyed M.K.Ciurlionis museum (M.K.Ciurlionis was one of the greatest compositors and painters) and others...
I mean that I like objects but not the whole city
