I love the Final Fantasy game series. All of them. The stories are superb, the characters are wonderful, and they're just overall good games. I don't care what anyone else has to say about it. Just a few days ago I wrote up a list of all my favorite Final Fantasy characters, and have taken it on as a personal challenge unto myself to try to get those 18-some characters drawn. Not necessarily all by Fanime, but it'll be a hoot trying.

The first in the series; Tifa Lockhart. But why is she a favorite when so many other people seem to hate her?

In truth, I am an avid defender of Tifa's character, and I think she has one of the worse fan-wraps of almost any other Final Fantasy character. A lot of people seem to dislike Tifa because 1) she's not Aerith and 2) she has a sizable bust.

At the risk of being hung, I am not an Aerith fan. I was just never into her character. I mean, the woman has no flaws! And then her role as the "tragic heroine" has turned her into a martyr of video games. Then SquareEnix has the audacity to make all their other lead females in Aerith's image (expect Rinoa, but she would be Aerith if she was a spoiled rich girl). IMO, Tifa is a much more believable character. She has her strengths, as well as her fears and her weaknesses. On top of that, the woman has a heart of gold. I strongly believe that if Cloud had ever admitted that he loved Aerith, than Tifa would let him go without a fight, just to see that her friends are happy despite her own broken heart. Besides, Tifa is one of the few FF women, if not the only one, who's a martial artist. For me, that just adds so much more to her character because she breaks the whole "White-Mage-Staff-weilding-heroine" confiment that Enix built around its woman.

Second, does having big breasts really make you a bad person and builds grounds for immediate spite? Nothing annoys me more than when people's reason for their dislike of Tifa is "her boobs are huge, so that makes her a slut!" Okay, throughout the entire game, Tifa never did one thing that would label her a "slut". Hey, there are women out there who naturally have large breasts, without the aid of enhancement and surgery. So does that make us all sluts? No, and it's wrong for people to judge otherwise. And hell, if I had a body like her's I would want to show it off too.

But hey, if you don't like Tifa, that's your business, so please don't argue with me otherwise. I'm just stating my reasons for giving Tofa Lockhart a tribute picture.
