Banjo and Kazooie are my favourite gaming pair. I do like your take on them as well.
The colours and shading are excellent too - this is going in my favourites.

I love this game. Dispite it wasn't a platformer like I was hoping, but it still delivered the fun.
I love your take on this game. And it's kinda funny that Banjo is teasing him. Cause I hate that guy. XD

Aww, I love Trophy Thomas. I was even considering doing much more fan art for the little guy (even though technically he's taller than banjo in the game, I just like to think he has a small-man complex. XD)
But yeah, as much as banjo hangs around Kazooie, I'd expect he'd eventually pick up on her personality and just be a little cruel sometimes.

Aww, but if Banjo did that then it would be kinda boring. You got the straight out nice guy (Banjo) and the crude, crack talking bird (Kazooi).
That's what I liked about them two. But I still think Goggles is annoying. Haha! XD

You mean Bottles? XD I liked him too. I don't think I dislike any character in the Banjo Kazooie games. They're all just so lovable and fun!
And Banjo can be a jerk sometimes. He's made fun of Gruntilda countless times.

Little guy is named Trophy Thomas. He's really competitive, and always wants to fight/race/complete against Banjo & Kazooie; well in this pic he lost and banjo took that jiggy and Kazooie took his "Number 1" necklace from him.

I heard it sucked and completely ruined the Banjo Kazooie experience. I have fond memories of the game from my childhood, I'd hate to have them ruined. :/

No it didn't suck, it was just different. And apparently to most people, different means sucks. And most people who hated it never even played it. It's actually a lot of fun. Different, but certainly fun. It even got great reviews for crying out loud. The charm of the series was still there, almost every character from the whole series was represented in the game, and it was just a beautiful example of what Nintendo games could have looked like if Ninty didn't fuck up and actually have made a HD system. It was good, long, funny, pretty, and fun. But once again, different.

Just remember, it's gameplay is nothing like the old games, Think of this game as a spin off than a real sequel. ^^

I've had to do that with sequels before..
Just take Chrono Cross for example. I loved Chrono Trigger, but CC was NOTHING like CT. It was more of a prequel anyway.. but CC was the best game I remember playing as a child. The story is great, the characters are great, the whole thing was truly amazing.
I'll pick up a copy this weekend and give it a go. x:
