Description This is basically another comic, except that each panel is its own file since it doesn't flow very comic-like. It functions more like an illustrated story-book, except that it's my history of Schizophrenia term paper.

The church, as well as using magical relics and shrines to cure, also considered some diseases as being caused by God or the devil. People who would now be diagnosed with mental disease were then considered possessed or being spoken to by the divine. The Catholic roster of saints is full of people who would be called crazy by today's standards.

The part of Southern Italy that includes the Vatican is kind of neglected in the show a bit.
Then again, what could be done with that would probably be offensive (i'm Catholic, so I could attest to how offensive people can be to me about that) and that could probably be the reason it is never brought up, but it just amuses me to think about that. Oddly, Prussia (back when he was the teutonic knights) was shown praying and then something that i think was supposed to be god or an angel showed up and was all exasperated or something, so he clearly isn't avoiding religion just to not offend people.

I'm pretty sure it's not intentional neglect. It's probably more that situations haven't arisen that would necessarily bring it up. I tend to read the comics more than watch the show, so I can't say anything in particular about it.
