I wanted to suggest this idea I thought of, because I am hearing allot of people complain about the huge amount of porn that shows up on dA.I suggested to a few that they could turn the Mature filter on and get rid of it. They then replied back with "But then I'll miss out on some gore or pieces with strong language in them".
So here you go dA. This is a nice and easy solution for those people. You already have this setup in the Submit Art section. You would just have to specify the different types of mature, so people can block what they are tired of seeing.
Check the boxes you want to show!
Simple enough RIGHT?!?!

I've suggested something like this actually without knowing of your mock-up.
I made it even more precise actually; adding the "moderate" and "strict" filter into it.

The mature filter is definitely a necessity for some images that come off as somewhat erotic and suggestive. But from what I've heard, DA doesn't allow art that's overly explicit or pornographic. Correct me if I'm wrong.

That's right. The main reason there are these complaints is that people's personal definitions of 'porn' differ a lot, while dA follows a strictly defined standard.

I have to say, this idea would be a pretty good one to see, not to mention it would easily help sort things out too, namely if people don't want to see one thing, like violence, but in the same boat, they wouldn't mind seeing nudes. So again, this is a great idea.

I always thought people that come to an art site of all places should just suck it the fuck up or not see any of it all. I mean, you don't go to a exhibit and ask them to put curtains over certain kinds work.
Meh, I'm not for MC filtering in the first place. I've seen this suggestion before, It always seems to from people that are OK with seeing someone getting skullfucked with a hammer but think seeing a tit is the scourge of morality. Personally I just think they're scared of their own sexual arousal. (not directed at you personally btw, I've seen your gallery and favs..
