A character concept, more or less, and such it is subject to change in design.
I blame Lufia 2 and the obscenely adorable sphynx enemies you get to fight later in the game. Tried to base her looks more on the Greek than Egyptian sphynx, which ended up changing her hair type and skin tone from my original doodle. |3
She needs a name. 8D; Xena? Zandria? Iola? Chloe? Help me out here, Nikki. (or anyone with an opinion, really x3 )

WELL, she's an adorable sphinx. <3 I don't care so much for the color on the wings--the gradient rather than shaded like the rest of it--but I love the tawny lion tones and her expression. She looks young and peppy, which is always a fun kind of character to have around. 83

I start with darker versions of the individual hues, and blend them as the gradient transitions. Usually after them I have a common shadow tone--brown, dark indigo, or violet, depending on the mood or needs of the drawing--and apply it to the darkest shadows of everything. If it's not enough, then black to make up for it. I'm not sure how well that translates for digital works, though. <.<;;

I liked Zandria too, but Iola sounds softer and that maybe suits her better, if she stays like this when she grows up.

This is probably one of the most adorable sphinx creatures I have ever seen. Her hair and eyes are very cute and I like the fades in color for the line art of her wings.
Zandria is a nice sounding name, either that or Dakarai. Xena reminds me of the T.V. show so please don't chose that one.

Apparently Lions is now a proper name..word thing.
The wing lineart/shading looks kind of flat as opposed to the rest but I have no room to speak as far as that goes XD it was just something I noticed. I like how you colors the legs with that almsot textury look to it.
