Description
Our unlikely pair has a lot to face, from scheming deities to sociopolitical upheaval. With their own lives at stake and those of others depending on them, the best they can do is rely on each other, prepare for the worst, and hope for the best.The final half of my creative Christmas present to Nikki.

Did you do the main characters first, and then the background?

They're actually two separate pieces of paper. Watercolor paper for the watercolor, marker paper for the marker part, then I cut out the marker piece with an Exacto knife and glue-sticked it.

Gosh I love that background technique. It really makes the characters pop into a foreground. The background really looks like it "falls behind" them... that it's more distant. Keep it up. You've really got something there.

Well, we are and we aren't. It's an RP, and we save everything we do. Later, Nikki plans to take what she likes from the RP and convert it to a webcomic or possibly novel.

I was hoping for more marbling and less blending between the red and black to create that sort of nasty, tense, foreboding atmosphere but...the problem with watercolors is they don't always do what you want them to do. >_< But...nevertheless, you seem to have gotten the gist, so...I win anyway!

Hmm, well, I can tell you that when I make an expression in a character, I find myself making that face myself -as I draw- (Whether I want to or not T_T Sometimes I get headaches or jawaches from it) and that seems to help a lot.

...mostly when I'm sketching at school. My Geometry teacher loves to point at my quietly and have the class examine my 'interpretative style' of 'Geometric thinking'. Sooooo embarrassing. XD
