Both are badass leaders, Omnimon with the Royal Knights and Optimus Prime with the Autobots, both draw out sword in a same style; Omnimon's Transcendent sword come out from left hand which is the same with Optimus sword in the first movie when he behead Bonecrusher.
Omnimon's Garuru Cannon placed at the right hand which is the same with Optimus's Cannon when he headshot Demolishor.
Both come from different worlds Cybertron and the Digital World and they both have a connection with Earth. Also they're both giants compared to us.
