I'm not really picky about adaptations, but please, please, PLEASE, do NOT derail the characters in the name of conveying political stances. Not only is it bad form, but the fans will probably be too busy complaining about said OOCness to pay attention to the issue you were speaking about. Having Fluttershy speaking out about saving the environment is OK, but using Fluttershy as a Straw-Villain in a anti pollution story who wants to buy up all the land for a casino is just...not...well, anyone who knows Fluttershy will know what I mean.Β Or have Pinkie as a fervent bush supporter who tries to invade China. Regardless of political stances, OOC is OOC is OOC.

No, this comic is more about how weird the additions and changes to a franchise's canon can get when they are adapted to different mediums. I've never even watched any of the Indiana Jones movies, but I anticipated that if I didn't add that line in my picture description, lots of people would be making Kingdom of the Crystal Skull jokes.
