Interesting take on the game, and quite beautiful too, I must say. There seems to be a bit of a yin and yang theme going on there between the two travelers, and I love the tier-like build up of the piece which includes every area of the game, stepping it up from the ground floor and leading to the top (just like a mountain). Clever. Very clever. Another thing I love about this piece is the harmonic contrast of depth and flatness -- the composition seems simultaneously like a paper cut out and a three-dimensional drawing, but it works beautifully and draws you in. It's cartoony, yet realistic. My only qualm is that I believe that the scarf of the traveler on the bottom should not be tucked out of frame. It makes the piece feel a little unbalanced. Other than that, though, lovely work!!
And, yes, the game is freakin' fantastic. Been playing it since December of last year and I love the crap out of it.

i got the game and played it for the first time yesterday orz I think I played through it around 4-5 times ; ___ ;
So many nice companions ahhh, it's worth it to have someone along the way when you reach the last ending and you're together stillΒ

I absolutely love Journey! I played it on my friend's ps3 and I was like: omg must get it! I love the fanart just as much and this piece represents the beauty of the game and the bonds made when the journey is made with a companion. I suggest making a heart to them in the snow just before you walk into the bright light at the end. Show them that their staying with you was appreciated and that you loved their company and that you had fun with them!

I looooooove this game. One of the things I like the most is the fact that everything has to be explained through the story of the game, not through words. I feel as though explaining what in the world this odd looking being in a cape was doing in a desert in the first place, nor why it rides scarf-whale.......stuff, would take out the obvious whimsy of the experience. I really like this and I can't believe how detailed it is.

What an eye for detail! I must say I love how in the center of the picture is the iconic sand dune in which the robed character stands facing the mountain, I think that keeping that at the center rather than placing it at the bottom just keeps it inline with the story that Journey created. The detailing on the robes are wonderful and I think it's an excellent piece overall that just gives a glimpse as to what the game Journey is. Excellent work, very nicely done.

I've heard a lot about this game, and was really interested when I heard you can't type/speak in the game even while being with other players. Only ring a chime/bell.

That sounds amazing *-* You're making me want to buy the game, but I'd be so worried going online with my amateurness. It doesn't sound like it'd be so impactful if I didn't have companions with me.

aww no don't be worried!! I was worried I would get a rude partner but it turned out great anyawys! The game is really easy to play in terms of controls. Theres no real monster in the game except for one exception but it can't kill you anyways. Its mostly an explore and enjoy the scenery and graphics kind of game!
Usually if youre inexperienced and your partner is as well then you can enjoy spending time with your companion figuring out the game together. If your compnion has played already then if you're stuck just follow your companion!
