I was walking on the grass while I spotted this little buddy...going for a trip outside water...I think it believed to be alone in the place...instead I arrived with my big shoes, big camera and I catch it...yeah, tried to pinch me...but I'm the one with opposable thumb :rolf: :rolf: After looking at it, I send him back to the river where it belongs...it's an invasive species...
but no heart to kill it...no heart to kill any animals -------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Je marchais dans l'herbe quand je l'ai remarqué, lui aussi en train de se balader hors de l'eau...Je pense qu'il se croyait seul dans le secteur...jusqu'à ce que j'arrive avec mes gros souliers, mon gros appareil photos et que je l'attrape...il aura bien essayé de me pincer mais en même temps...j'ai les pouces opposables pas lui Bon je l'ai remis à l'eau...même si j'aurai pas dû...car c'est une espèce invasive partout en France...mais je ne pouvais pas le tuer...en même temps, je ne peux rien tuer

Yep lyme is an issue, i would like to see them get it under control. But some of the thing the mosquitoes carry is about as bad. But the fly at night so they feed my bats!

Ehhhhhh oui, quoi ? t'as pas fait un brushing?? ^^ Le plus drôle c'est de voir des d'jeuns aimer ces années là, mais ils seraient perdus sans leur facebook, leur smartphone, internet et toutes les chaînes avec les séries TV. Cela leurs seraient horrible! ^^

Ah ben le plus bel exemple de l'engouement et du revival des années 80 c'est "Stranger things" et j'avoue que revoir les jeux de plateaux de l'époque, les vélos d'enfer et les survêts en coton floconnés à l'intérieur aux couleurs improbables, c'est juste excellent

Well, in Czech republic there is also problem with invasive crayfish... Signal crayfish or another crayfish native to the North America were artificially introduced here and coexistence of these species with original local European crayfish (now endangered) is very difficult...
Hahaha... In fact, the study, published by the journal Nature, finds that for much of human history on the continent, human populations grew like an invasive species!

Indeed WE have the same problem in all Europe with crayfish, and the local one is almost extinct here too...
It's a philosophic debate we all have about nature conservation...fighting or not against these invaders...it's very expensive, require a lot of time and energy....with some species, we've already lost, there's nothing more we can do...but for some others in some situation...we still can act...I'm on that camp ! I think we can fight sometimes....
