I think that Hook just *says* hand because he isn't willing to admit anymore that he felt that ture love, unless he's beyond a casual encounter.

Yeah, I get that... except people won't let you go to war with someone just because he took your hand. Cause those wars usually end in death and death is a heavy price for a hand. However, if he'd said "he killed someone I love", Emma would have thought he had cause to get back at him. Have the Savior side with you.
For a douchebag manipulator, he surely doesn't know how to play his cards when it really counts.

I have no sympathy for him for this exact reason. When I heard him say his "hand" I was like "You ass..."
I don't like Milah for ditching Rumple, but I like Hook even less for stealing her, teasing Rumple about it, and then not even having the damn grace to want to avenge her death even though he likes to swear up and down that she was his true love. Yeah right.
Your comics are amazing. I love them!

Thank you very much. These are my thoughts exactly.
Seriously, was it that hard to tell the man his wife doesn't love him anymore, instead of pretending he had stolen her and was about to gang-rape her with his whole crew and then say it's the man's fault he can't see his wife because he can't fight?
F*ck Hook and the boat he sailed on!

You're welcome.
It wouldn't have been hard at all, since clearly Hook didn't give a damn about Rumple's feelings. He does realize that Rumpelstiltskin is a cripple, right?? That alone ought to make Hook at least be mildly respectful. Seriously. I hate Hook.
I remember the episode where Belle tole back Bae's scarf--and hit hook in the head with the beam on the ceiling. That was great. But Hook was all 'trying to scare her' by telling her of Rumple's bad deeds when a) she already knows, for the most part, and b) he's not so innocent himself. He forgot to mention that he stole the woman away/ seduced her away, whatever, and, precisely, was about to gang-rape her with the whole crew, led her to abandon her husband and son (GREAT mother, isn't she) and then he's more concerned later about his hand than her death. Nice.
I don't normally shamelessly self-promote, but this , if you're interested, is a little thing about what I'd say to hook if I was in that situation. The guy who plays Hook may be mildly attractive, but I don't like the character. Sorry to ramble.

I wouldn't go as far as saying killing Milah is squee-worthy, the broad is still Bae's mother and eventually, he'll have to answer for his actions. I would have taken Hook's heart instead and made him hate Milah, so she'd know how it feels.
What I'm saying is, Rumple isn't clean of sin either. But at least, he accepts his crimes as a necessary evil (still evil but for a reason), while Hook puts all the blame of his own crimes on others.

I was being out-of-character in it, it was meant to be just a little over-the-top. I don't necessarily think it's squee-worthy either, I do believe that she sort of somewhat deserved it, but still, that's his former wife. I agree with the taking-Hook's-heart. He should have just killed Hook.
True.

Maybe Hook is to concerned about his image as tough rogue.
Maybe he doesnt want to be seen as a mourning "weakling", but a furious fighter seeking manly vengeance.
We men have a tendency to say stupid things in front of women, just to look big and strong.

I am guessing that is true, unless the fact that he had some memory loss through out his time in Neverland. To be honest I am extremely hoping at some point we see some kid beat up Hook, and then see him cry. I think he hot, but just to see that moment will make my day.

Hahaha. I've actually been thinking that Milah was never Hook's true love. Perhaps he cared about her but he doesn't act like someone thats lost their true love forever pretty much in any episode. After he dumps Milah's body in the sea two seconds later he's all evil grins and 'neverland!'. Then he flirts constantly with Emma in the latest episode. Not really the behavior of someone that lost their true love.

Exactly, he never really mourned her. I think of all the women he had, she's the one he loved the most, but she wasn't his true love.

Yeah I have to agree in general. Though I still like Rumple more than him I think they're setting him up to be in a love triangle with Emma and this Neil Cassity (whatever fairy tale char he is/isn't).

I think Hook loved Milha, as much as someone like Hook could, but out of sight, out of mind. Two horrible people met and fell in "love" (or whatever that was), and through their combined lack of conscience, destroyed Rum and Bae's lives. So of course, Hook wants to destroy the rest of Rum's life. That's what an arrogant bully like Hook would do.

Omorocca In reply to Nicole-MS [2012-11-02 15:43:59 +0000 UTC]
Exactly, Hook's a bit ''How dare he hurt me?''
You hurt him fist, Einstein!
''Doesn't count. I'll get revenge!''
ugh...
I understand he wants revenge, but he doesn't seem to think outside of the box much. I mean he's been at least 200 years in Neverland, thinking and he still doesn't see Rumple did this BECAUSE Hook hurt him in the first place. Rumple even told him: ''I want you to suffer, like I suffered.'' and Hook doesn't even understand that?

yeah, he would have... but he's smart enough to know that four women would have trusted him more if he had said ''He killed the woman I love'' than this... I believe Milha truly loved him, but maybe it wasn't both ways.
