Savannah was as antsy as ever. Perhaps her heart was still in her throat, spewing the fury that only a frustrated 19 year old young woman could generate. The world open and wide, yet she must stay here, on the farmstead. That acrimony was directed at her mother, as it has been for the last year and a half. The mother and daughter would scream, arguing anything from Savannah's choice of revealing clothing to the meaning of life itself, such as the merits of spending one's youth relatively secluded from the rest of humanity.

Or maybe it was the sight of the approaching rusted truck. Savannah's mother had somehow decided that be an appropriate vehicle to chaffeur her own mother here. Savannah's grandmother, that is. From all accounts that Savannah had heard from, she was a very successful businesswoman, and became that way through a sterness that no man could match. Common etiquette dictated that Savannah should untie her knotted shirt and cover her midriff, if only out of respect for her grandmother whom she had not seen for 16 years. But she didn't bother.
