Description Finally finished the Chi Rho miniature page. The whole design is 3"x5", which is...well, it's pretty small. There are thing about it I like (overall layout, balance of colors), and other things I like less (mistakes in the design-work, sloppy painting in a couple places), but generally I'm just happy to have it finished. This is the last piece to be finished for the 2013 Boneyard Arts Festival show, so that's really good news for me. I can get back to working on other things.

Please let me know what you think, and any pointers for future work would be more than welcome.

That is outstanding! The fact that so much intricate detail is packed onto a 3" X 5" is even more impressive!! Beautifully done sir

You have done an amazing job at getting lots of details into this small of a piece. Great job.

Wow...what did you use here for a brush?!

I used...A BRUSH! As a brush. Shocking, I know.

All snark aside, it was just a very tiny brush. It's actually a brush for painting miniatures (i.e., Warhammer figurines), but I bought it specifically for this project.

I love those modeling brushes with, like, 3 hairs on them...but it feeds into my detail fetish too much and I get lost in 'there'. My mom used to paint Easter Eggs and I inherited some of that. Go for it, though! Working SMALL is just as much of a mind-warp as working BIG. So, do you sell these miniature works or are they display only?

Nope, I sell them. I actually owe the original of this painting to in exchange for a piece of art he sent me, but I have prints of this, as well as various other prints and originals (and also some jewelry and bookmarks) available through my Etsy shop: CeltShop .

I have to say I very much appreciate the fact that you are doing this in a more "traditional" manner as opposed to just going into photoshop and throwing some knotwork together. I really love what you have done here, mistakes included!!!! Even the monks weren't perfect
