Description I'm not sure if this is the right category...

as it is water....

ICICLE...

but not a waterscape...

this is about 2' to 3' long on a tree near my house...

it was 18 F last night and is supposed to be near that tonight...

and our normal temperature is 60 F...

Beautiful, Big. It's amazing how I hate ice and snow and yet I can't think of anything more beautiful than the trees after an ice storm (although it's very BAD for the trees) or the calm after a blizzard when everything is washed clean and new.

Hugs and love,
Anj

i've lived in Australia for my entire LIFE and we're yet to get anything like that! its probably y i think snow and icicles and stuff are so beautiful. same reason for the obsession with the beach...

one-tough-one In reply to elfgirl-303 [2006-12-13 01:33:06 +0000 UTC]

aren't there mountains with snow on New Zealand well and maybe in Aussie land too...

I lived in an area that got snow every year so I don't miss it to much...

well except the sledding...

oh an I love the beach... have my whole life...

elfgirl-303 In reply to one-tough-one [2006-12-13 01:43:16 +0000 UTC]

that would be great, except we kinda live in the middle of nowhere...over 10 hours out of sydney, if that gives you any idea! not near mountains, or the beach - where i live is flat and hot! example: yesterday was 26 degrees celcius, and that was considered cold for december. nice weather this time of year is around 35!

one-tough-one In reply to elfgirl-303 [2006-12-13 02:26:26 +0000 UTC]

so you are in the middle of NO WHERE....

not far from BUM FUCK EGYPT....

I grew up in a place like that...

The post office was 2 hours away...

the grocery store was so far we went once a month...

that sucked so bad...

thats why I wont live more than 1.5 hours from a big city and have to have a grocery store within walking distance... like a mile or so...

okay so that is kinda good...

I remember I would ride my bike like 10 miles just to get to a store with some chocolate...

and then usually go fishing

Just beautiful ... indeed, it looks very fractal, but that is where fractals came from in the first place, from nature ... everything from tree branches to blood vessels to rivers.

Wonder if you could make a fractal like that? Cool ...

one-tough-one In reply to MamaLucia [2006-12-10 00:33:38 +0000 UTC]

thank you for the comment

I might not be able to make a fractal like that but I can take the colors from this and put it in a fractal
